Nonpublic personal information means information about you that we collect in connection with providing a financial product or service to you. Nonpublic personal information does not include information that is available from public sources, such as telephone directories or government records. 

An affiliate is either a company that we own or control or a company that owns or controls us. Ownership does not mean complete ownership, but means owning enough to have control. 

A nonaffiliated third party is a company that is not an affiliate of ours. 

Opt out means a choice you can make to prevent certain sharing of information. We will explain how you can exercise this choice.

Federal law permits us to disclose the information listed in the preceding section of this Policy with our affiliates, as described below. In accordance with this Policy and federal law, you may opt out of the disclosure of this information.

We may disclose nonpublic personal information about you in the future to the following types of affiliates: 

• Financial service providers, such as

  • mortgage bankers;

  • securities broker-dealers; and

  • insurance agents.

Reasons for Disclosure
Here is why we may disclose nonpublic personal information about you in the future to our affiliates:

• to provide our customers with information about additional products and services; and

• to give you the benefit of the entire customer relationship when paying overdrafts and determining credit limits.

Limitations on Disclosures
Here are the limits imposed by this Policy on the use of nonpublic personal information disclosed to our affiliates:

• we only allow direct mail solicitations; and

• we expressly prohibit telephone solicitations.

We do not disclose nonpublic personal information about former customers, except as permitted by law.

Your decision to block the disclosure of your nonpublic information will apply to all products and services you receive from us. If you have a joint account, an opt out instruction given by one participant of this account will affect all participants of the account.
